Camping at Lost Lake, Uinta Mountains

Renn, Eric, and I went camping for 3 days in the high Uinta Mountains. It was a great trip and nice to be out in nature.
Provo Falls

Eric playing in the pine needles. I tried to keep him out of the dirt, but then I realized that all he wanted to do was play in it, so I figured why not! He absolutely loved it and had so much fun exploring and throwing rocks in the creek with Renn.

Eating breakfast in our mosquito net tent. We got one after our camping trip last summer in Idaho with Raelene because the mosquitoes we so thick we didn't dare take Eric out. This trip we were prepared!

Eric slept great between Renn and me

Enjoying the Summer

We have been having a great time this summer hiking, camping and spending time outside. Eric loves to play in the flowers and the grass. He even likes to pick up pill bugs and let them crawl on his hand.

Helping Daddy mow the lawn.

We went to the zoo with Carrie, Grant and Drake. It is so much fun and Eric loved to watch the animals, especially the monkeys.

This giraffe is cleaning out Eric's ear :)

Hiking to the Timpanogos Caves with Rhett and Raelene

Beautiful cave pool

Awesome cave ceiling-it looks like a hand reaching out to grab you

Eric really enjoyed the cave. He was so enthralled with the many formations.

Soda straws and Helictites

Carrying Eric down the mountain, we had to leave the pack outside and pick it up on our way out.

Eric loves hiking because he can look at everything. He loves to watch the birds and point them out whenever he sees them.

Getting a drink of water

I guess he got hungry on the car ride home.

Hiking to the old Christmas Tree Farm, it was such a beautiful day and we counted 30 different wildflowers.

Eric's First Birthday!

Eric just turned one and we are so excited!

He is growing up so fast and we have loved every minute of it! For his birthday I thought I would do something that my sister does for her boys on their birthdays that I love. Here is my list of ten things I LOVE about Eric:

10. His big, bright, and beautiful blue eyes like his dad's
9. His slobbery kisses
8. The sweet and peaceful face he has when sleeping
7. How he is fascinated with new people and loves to watch them
6. The funny sound effects he makes, especially his "baby Chewbacca"
5. How he loves to "feed" daddy and share his food, even if it is his favorite!
4. How he loves to dance to music, especially Jason Mraz "I'm Yours"
3. His observant, content, and inquisitive nature
2. His radiant spirit of love and nobility
1. The way his smile brightens his eyes and my heart.

The panda bear birthday cake I made

He loved eating his cake and was shoveling it in with both hands!

Grandpa and Grandma Oler's house

We visited the Olers for a few weeks when Richelle came home from her mission and we had such a fun time! Eric loved all the attention and new things to play with.
Eric loves books, especially when he can eat them!

Every time he saw this picture of Christ he was so excited and wanted to touch it. It must bring back memories of his former home.

Strawberries, Yum!

Playing with the kitchen utensils

Eric loves to go for walks, even in the snow

His first time on the swings by himself and he loved it. He only wanted to lean forward like he was flying.
